Not much longer now!

Well stampers, the Twinchie challenge is almost over! You have until midnight tonight to send in your entry if you haven't already done so!

I have another 2 entries to share today!

First we have this great Twinchie from Julie Dudley:

Julie used a Purple Onion Designs stamp which she coloured and layered over different squares of patterned paper. She then attached her Twinchie to the front of a Christmas card:

From Julie:

"I have used the Winter wonderland tape from the Holiday border tape set and the snow man and tree from the Celebitties Purple Onion stamp sets".

Great work Julie!

Next we have this lovely Twinchie from Laurence Schmitz of Belgium:

From Laurence:

"I used versafine onyx black with a Christmas stamp by Crafty Individuals and when it was dried I used the ATC Sponge background (Lost Coast Designs) and heat embossed the top and bottom with gold embossing powder. I then adhered it to a scrap of red paper and added wire with some red beads. I added black stickles in the hair of the angel".

Laurence also added her Twinchie to a Christmas card:

"I cut a piece of watercolor paper smaller that my card and colored it with distress ink (fired brick and antique linen). When still wet I sprayed some perfect pearls diluted into water. The letters of "Joyeux" are from the alphabet set by Non Sequitur and stamped with stazon timber brown. The letters "NOEL" are stamped separately on a scrap of red paper and heat embossed with gold embossing powder".

Lovely card Laurence!

Tomorrow I will be giving away a lovely set of Christmas stamps to one lucky stamper, so be sure to come back and get your name in the draw! :)

Weekend Twinchspiration!

Hello stampers!

I'm back with another new entry to share with you today!

This lovely Twinchie Christmas sign was sent in by Karen Dimmock:

From Karen:

"I have painted some 2 inch mdf blocks in cream then used the Glimmer mist masks with Matisse inks, then stamped with a Stampin' Up background stamp. I then inked and embossed some chipboard letters to spell out the words "Merry Xmas", which I adhered to the twinchies. I also inked and embossed some Grungeboard Christmas shapes, which I also adhered with some extra bling".

"I used some gold foil to embellish the twinchies further before adhereing them to two boards which I had painted and crackled, I also added some of the gold foil to the boards along with some beads to make a Christmas greeting sign".

Here is a close up of one of Karen's Twinchies:

What a lovely idea for a Christmas decoration Karen!

It's a hot one here in Australia this weekend - so stay inside in the cool and do some stamping! :)

Have a great weekend everyone!

NOVEMBER 26 - December 7, 2009.

Join us for 12 days of Christmas ideas, cards and gifts and your chance to win one of 12 prizes!

Twinchie card and a Chrissy decoration!

Hello again everyone! :)

I have some lovely Twinchie art to share with you again today!

First we have this Twinchie and Christmas card from Vicky Fernando:

From Vicky:

"I stamped the Darkroom Door Christmas Words stamp for my background onto kraft card using red StaZon ink, and stuck it onto a 2"x2" piece of chipboard, trimming & sanding the edges. I then stamped an Autumn Leaves flourish stamp onto a red piece of Bazzill cardstock with Brilliance ink (Cosmic copper). I heat embossed it with clear embossing powder, and "coloured in" the flourish with a copper-coloured metallic gel pen".

"I then over-stamped my twinchie with the same flourish using Versafine (vintage sepia) ink, and clear embossing powder, again colouring in with gel pen, sticking it carefully in place with some double sided  tape. The edges of the red cardstock were inked with Brilliance ink and covered with clear embossing powder".

"I used a Collections chipboard tag, inking the edges with the copper ink, and added the word Joy (from the same set of Darkroom Door stamps). I attached some ribbon, and added some glass beads in red, green and blue, and some metallic embroidery thread. I layered the card front to some copper DCWV cardstock, sanding the edges to show the white core".

Gorgeous work Vicky!

Next we have this Twinchie and Christmas decoration sent in by Jen Sweatman:

From Jen:

"I stamped a window image from Paperartsy "Schooldays" plate 3 on grungepaper twice, inked both with vintage photo distress ink and trimmed the image to 2 inches square then cut out the windows leaving the frame. I added BasicGrey paper behind the windows of one frame and added my embellishments (American Crafts, grungeboard star, Papertrey Ink button and ornament stamp). I then mounted the second frame over the top using adhesive foam to give it a miniature shadow box look".

"I mounted onto a Christmas ornament box- a raw chipboard cube I have decorated using Paperartsy stamps and BasicGrey paper".

Lovely work Jen!

I know I say this all the time, but I think this is my most favourite challenge yet! It's so interesting to see all the different uses for your Twinchies!

Keep sending those entries in! :)

Twinchies galore!

Hello stampers!

I'm back again today with lots more Twinchie goodness to share! Meanwhile, thank goodness it has cooled down today - I tell you I thought I might die in all that heat yesterday! LOL!!

First we have this very cute snowman Twinchie from Joy Rumble from New Zealand:

From Joy:

"I used dark blue cardstock which I embossed with a Cuttlebug "Winter House" embossing folder, then diecut it with "bubble frame" using the middle piece. The snowman is from Stampendous Winter season & the Christmas greetings, Holiday words. The orange nose & white snow was done with puff paints".

"The snowman was 3D onto the card, then 3D onto more Dark blue cardstock, which had also been embossed with winter house, then lined up to fit under the Twinchie. I used Heidi Grace designs Pinstripe, attached the greetings on to a bamboo skewer, again 3D. Martha Stewart border punch used on the red & more puff paints to reprsent snow".

I love all that texture Joy!

Next we have a bunch of lovely Twinchies from Danielle Sheehan:

From Danielle:

"I used a miriad of stamps from Basic Grey Winterland Collection, Some darkroom Dooor stamps and a couple of Hero Arts stamps. I even got out old punches that I havent used since I started scrapbooking about 4 years ago! Ive used my favourite Distress ink pads, Cuttlebug embossing folders and some bits and bobs to finish it off and mounted each twinchie on chipboard and popped it in a glass frame".

"The frame was black but I swiped rub n buff all over it to match the twinchies. I have used Christmas Images from Lisa's Altered Arts as well".

Awesome work Danielle!

That's it from me for today - I'm off to enjoy the cold breeze that's blowing through my house! Ahhh! Bliss!

More Twinchie goodness!

Hello stampers!

First let me say thanks so much to everyone who dropped by my blog to congratulate me on the Darkroom Door CT position, and to leave a comment for the giveaway! I really appreciate all your support!

Today I have 2 new entries to share with you all!

First we have this lovely Twinchie and card from Be(e) of Belgium:

From Be(e):

"I started my twinchie with a piece of white cardstock, which was slightly smaller than 5×5cm. I colored the background with Adirondack espresso ink and stamped the snowflakes from SEI and the sentiment in the same color. The sentiments is from the Hero Arts Holiday Sayings stamp set. I used the ‘peace-love-joy’ stamp, but just parts of it. I added gemstones on the snowflakes and distressed the edges of the white cardstock. I placed it on a dark brown 5×5cm mat and distressed the edges of this mat as well".

"I used this twinchie on a brown card, which I also gave a layer of that same espresso ink. The text stamp is an older PSX rubber stamp, the snowflakes (in espresso and dune) are all from SEI. I adhered the twinchie down with dimensionals".

Gorgeous work Be(e)!

Next we have some lovely Twinchies and a Christmas decoration from Ros Crichton:

From Ros:

"I painted two pieces of MDF (2x2 inches) with white gesso and distressed, painted around the edges with black paint and used silver renaissance foil over that. I stamped the scroll which was from Stampin' Up "Ocean Commotion" in perfect plum and heat embossed BELIEVE which is from the Darkroom Door Yuletide Vol 2 set. I Painted the Grungeboard star in purple, foiled over it, and added the bling".

"The second side was done in a similar fashion. I glued both twinchies together allowing wire to go between them and went to town with the beads".

Great work Ros! I'm sure it will look lovely on your tree!

Not long to go now until the end of the challenge! But there is still plenty of time to get your Twinchie done! I look forward to seeing some more soon! :)

First we have this entry from Marianne Verschoof of the Netherlands:

"I never made a twinchie before, and i needed 6 for this cube! It is addictive to make and i don't think it will be the last ones!
".

"The cube can be used as a christmasdecoration because of the decorative beads I used. You can still open the cube and put candy in it and use it is a gift".

Lovely work Marianne!

Next we have this entry from Lisa Balm:

From Lisa:

"I started by using the purple onions Late 1800's script background stamp, then layered the duck from the inkadinkadoo lucky duck set giving him a little felt hat. I finished it of with the word "Believe" from the Buzz and Bloom Journaling 2 set. I then added my twinchie to a card".

Lots to share!

Sorry guys - I've been struck down with a nasty cold and haven't been able to make it to the computer over the last couple of days. My poor kids have been sick too! Not much fun at my house lately. :(

However, I'm back now, and have lots to share, so lets get stuck straight into it!

First we have this lovely Twinchie by Krissy Christie:

Just look at all the dimension in this little Twinchie:

From Krissy:

"I used stamps from Grace Taylor, a Kaszazz rollergraph script stamp, and Kaszazz lace background stamp. I stamped my birdy stamp onto different colours and hand coloured some of the elements and cut them out so I could make them dimensional".

"My twinchie has been attached to a post it note holder I made".

Gorgeous work Krissy! What a great idea for a Christmas gift!

Next we have this cute little twinchie sent in by Emily Shultz:

From Emily:

"I used black bazzill for my background, and then white bazzill with a Creativ clear stamp which looked a bit like a snowflake stamped in Split Pea (Versamark). I then made two little “people” mounted with foam dots. I highlighted in Kindy Glitz and used Sam & Lucy Teeny Tiny stickers to make the text in the top right corner".

Emily attached her Twinchie to the front of a mini card:

Great work Emily!

Last but not least for today is this Aussie Santa Twinchie from Jenene Evans:

From Jenene:

"I have used Aussie Santa stamp (not sure of brand), painted with Lumiere paints for his satin look shorts and the all important green aussie singlet, with sparkly stars. Merry Christmas text is embossed with sparkly gold".

Jenene used her Twinchie on a gift tag:

"I finished the tag with a button and brads, the stars were cut from an old xmas card".

Great work Jenene!

I do have one more entry to share, but I'll save that for tomorrow afternoon! :P

Stay inky!

Bauble Twinchie!

Hello stampers!

I hope you're all enjoying your weekend. :)

Today's Twinchie entry was sent in by Sandra Stocker:

From Sandra:

"I stamped the ornament from Kaisercraft Clear Stamps "Doodled Christmas" set using Silver VersaColor ink onto a piece of light green Bazzill. I then cut this out and added some extra highlights of Green Tea VersaColor ink. I then restamped using the Silver Versa Color onto a piece of transperancy and cut this out. I attached the transparency to the bazil using three silver Brads. I then mounted my ornament onto the 2"x2" background which was Light Green Bazzill which had been inked with both the Green Tea and Silver VersaColor inks and then added a little bow of white and silver ribbon".

"I mounted my Twinchie onto piece of silver card that had been embossed using Cuttlebug D'vine Swirls with a strip of matching green inked card across underneath the diamond mounted twinchie. The silver embossed piece was then mounted on a card made from Green Bazzill which was once again inked and edged with the Green Tea and Silver VersaColor ink".

Great work Sandra!

Just a quick reminder - the Darkroom Door Yuletide Collection ATC Swap is now on! If you're interested in participating, see the details HERE.

Happy stamping!

.

Snowman Twinchie!

Hello stampers!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend!

Today's Christmas Twinchie entry was sent in by Benedicte Skjelanger of Norway:

Benedicte made her Twinchie background from Bazzill cardstock, and the Snowman stamp is from Whipper Snapper.

With her Twinchie, Benedicte created a Matchbook Candy holder using this tutorial at Splitcoast Stampers:

From Benedicte:

"I have placed an After Eight chocolate inside my candy holder. The letters on the front are stickers, and the phrase "GOD JUL" means Merry Christmas in norwegian. I have embellished the inside with pattern paper and flowers".

Great work Benedicte!
