Hello again everyone!
Here are the latest bunch of Metallic challenge entries!
First we have this card by Shirley Henry:
Shirley says:
"The card size is 14x14cms. I added tarnished brass distress stickles to the frame, gold cord and the square metal brads. Metallic rub ons were used on the chipboard butterfly".
"The Owl (Inkadinkado) was stamped onto white vellum and again on folded white square card. Turned the vellum over and coloured with crayons and aqua brush. Owl on the card was also coloured with crayons. and aqua brush using slightly darker colours".
"The vellum was attached with double sided foam squares. The frame was made using kraft card and cutting out the centre with spellbinder label die. Frame dry embossed with the forest branches folder. Tarnished brass distress stickles was rubbed over the frame for a metallic sparkle. Flourish is Grungeboard inked with walnut stain distress ink. Copper alcohol ink was then dabbed on top.
Flowers have tarnished brass distress stickles rubbed on".
"Chipboard butterfly was inked with peeled paint distress ink and metallic rub on in emerald was rubbed on. Ferns are punched. Gold metallic cord wrapped around bottom of frame a few times. Square metal stick on brads added to two corners and centre of one flower. Yellow pearls added to butterfly and top flower".
Wow Shirley - lots of Metallics on there!
Next we have this card by Helen Sherrock of New Zealand:
Helen says:
"I stamped gold clock faces on black card, then meticulously painted the hands off old watches, gold. I glued them on to the faces. I cut a piece of foil type stuff (known as "Punchinella" or "Sequin Waste") and joined that - along with a stamped butterfly (on gold metallic paper) to my card. I used brads which I painted to look aged and also painted faux rusting".
"I used gold stickers for the word "Dream" then added acrylic ageing to them. My butterfly is stamped then I used chalks and coloured pencils to emphasize it".
Nice one Helen!
Last but not least we have this tag from Chloe Schmitt:
{Photo Removed for Publication - Congrats Chloe!}.
Chloe says:
"I decided to alter a plain Kraft tag using stamping and a few other embellishments. I stamped the tree stamp (from Grant Archival) using black ink, then layered over that a Fancy Pants 'Love' stamp. I stamped this in Versamark and embossed with gold embossing powder. I also embossed a chipboard heart with the gold and added that alongside the tree image. To finish I knotted a metal key through ribbon and embellished with a button threaded with gold metallic thread".
Lovely work Chloe!
That's it from me for tonight! Keep those entries rolling in! :)
