The next theme for our Inkurable Stampers 2010 Gothic Arch Challenge is PAINT!
Your challenge is to use paint on your Gothic Arch!
Ideas:
* Use paint to create a background for your arch.
* Stamp your images on your arch with paint.
* Create a paint themed arch.
Our guest artist Jill Geraghty-Groves has created a fabulously Gothic painted Arch for us as our example (click pics to enlarge):
Jill says:
"I made an arch on thick chipboard. Covered it in vintage paper, painted it, inked it and them stamped (very badly) with black paint on an old harlequin Making Memories foam stamp".
"I've then stamped my favourite Paper Artsy freaky guy onto vintage text and heat embossed him, and cut him out. I've also painted a Collections Elements chipboard frame in black acrylic paint".
"Using a mixure of distress ink (black soot) and Maya Mist in red, I've "bloodied" up some muslin to form freaky curtains and attached to the reverse of the chipboard frame. The frame has been attached, and then I've attached the freaky guy and some freaky words".
"To finish it off, I've attached a further small piece of bloodied muslin, followed by a black cross. (Please don't be offended anyone - its all tongue in cheek and good fun!!! Just getting my freak on.....!!!)".
Love it Jill!! Very freaky, and very funny!!
Now it's your turn! If you haven't yet heard of our 2010 Gothic Arch challenge, check out all the details here. There's 24 arches to be done over this whole year, and you have until the 31st of December to do them! As always, if you have any questions, please let me know! :)
Upload your creations to our dedicated Flickr Group, and while you're there, check out all the other fabulous arches in the group pool!
Stay tuned for our Gothic Arch Challenge #11 to be revealed later today! You've seen Jill's dark side, but this next arch couldn't be more opposite! I can't wait to share it with you!
Until then......
